My A-Z theme for the month of April is romance and the modern, technology-driven cubicle dweller (like me).
In my line of work, actually I think in most lines of work, proprietary knowledge is job security. The more I know about my market, my employer, the specific tools we use, and the products we create, the more likely I am to be in demand.
It makes sense to me.
It works the same in a relationship. Proprietary knowledge is one of those keys to making things work, to keeping the magic alive, to letting the spark glow.
For instance, say your significant other, or the person you hope to make your significant other, has a fascination with obscure cyber punk novels. This isn’t something they tell a lot of people, because there aren’t a lot around who share the fascination.
But you do. It’s one of the things that drew you together. So you find that perfect, first edition copy of Neuromancer for them for their birthday.
And it doesn’t have to be about the gifts. Knowing what the other person enjoys, being able to talk about it, share that appreciation, take part in that love, is one of those incredible things. At least it is to me.
Proprietary knowledge is so very important. So go gather some today ^_^
Love your theme and been following it– hope you’ve enjoyed the challenge so far.

Good point. I forget these things at times but the proprietary knowledge is important.
