During the entire month of May I’m hosting a reverse blog tour. Rather than send y’all to other people’s blogs to read about me, which you already do if you’re a regular here, I’m introducing you to some amazing and talented authors from all walks of life and genres.
This Just In! Eva is giving a copy of Sweet Cravings to one lucky commenter, and I can tell you, that’s quite a treat! Make sure to leave your email address when you comment to be entered. Contest is closed, but make sure you check out Sweet Cravings anyway – absolutely worth the read!
Today I’m hosting the awesomely fun writer of some scorching hot romance, Eva Lefoy. And she’s given me something new to tempt and tantalize you all with. Her novel, Sweet Cravings was inspired by music, and she’s here to talk about it. I love stories about inspiration, and music, so take it away, Eva!
It’s Justin Timberlake’s fault I wrote a book about pastry!
Well, sort of.
I mean, it’s really the song’s fault, if you want to know the truth. Or, to back up a little further, it’s all Timbaland’s fault. Yep. No, I don’t normally listen to rap, and I only know of Justin Timberlake via the social media and news about who he’s dating. I’ve never purchased an album made by either of them. What happened though is I heard a song.
Back in the days of yore – before ABC cancelled my favorite soap opera, One Life to Live (that was a sad, sad day!) – I used to work out at the gym. And while I was there, I sometimes heard this song on the local radio:
The Way I Are, by Timbaland with Keri Hilson, D.O.E. and Sebastian
http://youtu.be/U5rLz5AZBIA
Now, I had no idea who these people were, but the tune was catchy and I found myself listening to it on YouTube over and over again. Why not? I know, I know, I’m getting to the pastry…
So then I figured, if I liked that song, maybe I’d like another of Timabland’s songs. I searched around on YouTube and after listening to a few duds (IMO!), I found this one:
Carry Out by Timabland, with Justin Timberlake
http://youtu.be/NRdHsuuXxfk
Now, again, I don’t listen to rap, but the tune is catchy –and look at those pastries! No, I’m not talking about the half-naked girls! What I’m really getting at and what the artists are playing up with this video is the relationship between food and sex. It’s pretty evident in this video, if you see what I mean. Ahem.
Anyway, soon after viewing this my devilish brain went to work and came up with a sexy pastry chef and a girl with a sweet craving that needed to be satisfied. Put the two of them together, and viola! You have Sweet Cravings, my first book released from Decadent Publishing.
Now that you know how it all happened, aren’t you kind of hungry?
I am!
That definitely gave me a craving for something sweet 😉 Want to know more about Sweet Cravings?:
Riding the waves of a sugar high, Violet Cunningham seduces the town’s newest pastry chef, slathering him with whipped cream in his secret kitchen. But all that is made of sugar melts, and her brazenness vanishes along with it, leaving her alone once again with her insecurities. Deciding to avoid temptation, she’s mortified when her boss sends her back to sexy chef Max’s kitchen to ask him to cater a company dinner.
After he turns the tables and seduces her, Max disappears the next morning. Violet blames herself but is it true or her old fears talking? When stray pastries show up at work, there’s only one man that could be responsible… and this time she refuses be distracted by creamy temptation. Well… maybe just a little…

Congrats on your release!
I’m supposed to be a little too old to like Justin Timberlake, because I was already out of grad school. As a fan of boy bands from the days of Menudo, I got HOOKED to N’Sync.
Once Justin started his solo career and acted in a few movie, I became a fan! This was the icing on the cake:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2EPl0OGz2Cg

“The Way I Are” is a massively groovy tune, I remember it sneaking up on me when it first came out, too. (Though not at a gym, alas.)
Eva, “Sweet Cravings” sounds like a fun read! Consider me entered to win! 🙂

Some Dark Romantic
Some people say food is the new taboo that has replaced sex, at least for women. For instance, they feel naughty about eating a pastry versus having an illicit affair. Putting both appetites in one book sounds like a winning recipe.
